Are you looking for a rewarding, entry-level PR role with loads of training and support in a busy, fun agency? Then you’ve come to the right place.

brightlights is our trainee programme. It’s a permanent role in the firstlight team, where you’ll spend the first six months learning the ropes as an account assistant.

During your time on the programme, you’ll be assigned to clients and supporting teams with real work. You’ll get a full training programme combining on-the-job training, internal sessions and external workshops to help you learn the ropes of PR.

It’s an integrated role, meaning you’ll work across media relations as well as creating content for social and helping to run digital campaigns. At the end of the six-months, you’ll progress to an account executive. 

Here’s what else you need to know:

  • Hybrid working: Your week will be split working three days a week (or more if you choose) from our office in Farringdon and the rest from home.
  • Agency life: You’ll get lots of support from your team as well as a dedicated line manager and buddy. There are plenty of opportunities to get to get stuck into agency life, with fun socials and regular company meetings like our ‘ask the exec’ sessions.

  • Eligibility: It’s open to graduates or those with at least a year of experience in the workplace. Previous PR experience isn’t necessary – all we ask for is that you’re passionate about a career in communications. You must have permission to work in the UK.
